Stories From Our Community

Every week, Veganized Living delivers fresh produce and vegan pantry staples to families in Atlanta and Jacksonville. Behind every delivery is a family with a story. Here are two of them, shared with their permission.

Robyn: Three Months of Breathing Room

High grocery costs had put Robyn in an impossible position, choosing between paying the full rent and having money left for groceries for her family of four. For three months, weekly grocery deliveries from Veganized Living took that choice off her table. Knowing food would arrive each week gave her family something every household deserves: breathing room.

“It might seem like a small thing to some people, but when you’re struggling to make ends meet, having that kind of help means everything.”

Jazz: The Story Behind Secret Santa

Last year, one of our participants, Jazz, opened up to her case manager in tears. She could not give her two children Thanksgiving or Christmas. We delivered everything her family needed for a Thanksgiving meal that week, and then, without telling her, our community quietly gathered Christmas gifts for her children too. After Thanksgiving, Jazz sent us this message:

“Thank you for seeing me, hearing me, showing compassion & helping my babies have a holiday to remember. If you ever wonder whether what you do makes a difference, PLEASE KNOW IT DOES!!”

Jazz is the reason our Secret Santa program exists. You can read about it here:

Help the Next Family Write Their Story

Families in Atlanta and Jacksonville are still waiting for this kind of support, and the waitlist keeps growing because we do not yet have the resources to serve everyone on it. Your gift helps the next family get their breathing room.
